Since 2020, Expand Yu has provided personalized and adaptable systems coaching to help people identify challenges and create systems of support that accommodate their needs without shame or judgement. Systems coaching focuses on finding ways to make everyday responsibilities easier by unlearning overt and unspoken rules of the neuromajority in order to find, build, and embrace unconventional methods that actually work for us.
Systems Coaching was originally designed for autistic and ADHD folks, but can benefit anyone who is struggling with executive functioning, or is just feeling overwhelmed by the demands our society places on us.
Since 2023, Expand Yu now specializes in offering Independent Facilitation to participants of California’s Self-Determination Program which gives individuals and families more control over how they receive services from the state. Read more here.
In 2026 and beyond, Expand Yu is seeking to grow into a team of Independent Facilitators providing customized supports and advocacy in Northern California.
Expand Yu is located in and primarily serves people who reside in the territories stewarded by the Nisenan and Miwok people for generations until violently stolen by European colonizers. Today this land is commonly known as Sacramento. Learn more about the Nisenan and Miwok people and cultures, and support their efforts to regain stewardship of the land: California Heritage: Indigenous Research Project (CHIRP), California Valley Miwok Tribe.

Meet the Founder
Yadir Morales is a coach, writer, disability advocate, note-taker, and sense-maker. They hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Japanese Culture from Wellesley College and is currently in the San Jose State University Master’s program for Library and Information Science.
In addition to their experience with navigating developmental disability services in California, they also have a lifetime of experience living as an autistic person in a world that is actively hostile toward people who look, think, or act differently from the norm.
After a decade spent locked in a painful cycle of burnout, Yadir received an autism diagnosis at the age of 25 and found their life substantially changed. With this new knowledge, they have been able to create systems of support that have helped them not only be successful, but also healthier and happier. Success no longer had to come at the cost of their well-being. They created Expand Yu in order to share what they’ve learned with others going through similar experiences.
